Windy Creek

We finally got our Blue Grass band pictures taken on Sunday. It was a superbly windy day and made the picture ironic since our band's name is Windy Creek, and we are a Blue Grass Gospel Band. It's been an amazing time getting to sing with fellow believers in Christ and learning to harmonize with voices other then your siblings.

At times it is a challange because I'll be like, "Yeah Laura! Your getting thise harmonizing stuff!" and then I'll sing by my younger sister, who has talent of having an ear for music, an extordinary one at that, but she'll be singing the exact same harmony that I thought that I had been so cool at getting down. Keeps one humble. =)

I love  every minute of it though and am so excited to be learning the mandolin. It's a challange for me becuase I have never been really good at string instruments; the guitar was to big for me, and so the next logical thing would be a mandonlin, aka: "shrunken guitar." It's been intersting and I am starting to get callouses on my finger tips I think. YEAH, That means progress!

Well, I thought that I would share some pictures and say Hey! I'm alive ,just busy with work....they are keeping my scheduale full. =)

Have a marvelous day!
