Deliciousness in a cup

Sweet Peach Smoothie/Slushie

I discovered this delightful concoction through my amazing roommate Rachel by her allowing me to use her splendid blender and so my brain became full of ideas for a slushie or smoothie that a college student could afford. The first kind of slushie I tried was simple, it was a mixture of ice cubes and Ocean Spray Kiwi-Strawberry drink, blended them together and ta-da! A yummy slushie, I personally like the thought that it is water downed juice. =P Then came along the best of them all, my peach slushie.

I used:
1 can of peaches, take out peach slices, put in ziplock bag and freeze.
    4-5 ice cubes
    Seirra Mist
    Water
    Left over peach juice
    1 Pint Jar
Directions:
Put the ice cubes in first and then add frozen peaches. Pour about half a jar full of the Seirra Mist, add some of the peach juice and if needed some extra water. The liquids are so that you don't just have ice shavings and peach chunks.
Blend until smooth. You will half to pulse it first to break up the ice cubes. =)
       Enjoy!

P.S. Let me know what you think of it and tell me of any other great concoctions.

The Anticipated Event

A moment that I had been waiting for since I had come to college had arrived it was the annual Spring Banquet. I had created my Regency dress over Christmas Break and my brother had asked me if he could escort me, I said yes. As the time came closer I became exceedingly excited about going to dinner with my brothers Nathaniel and Philip and my other friends, each one of us dressed in out finest.  I had my hair done by a friend in a style that I had always dreamed of, a beautiful pile of curls atop my head and a few stray curls hanging down as well. My dearest friend Tiffany curled her hair and twisted the sides, she looked very pretty. As pretty on the outside as she is on the inside--for the record. =)
Philip declared the meal to be absolutely scrumptious and I heartily agreed. The evening was so spectacular! After the meal my group went to an amazing bridge, I call it a rainbow bridge because of the beautiful multicolored lights that flood the walkway. I also played for the first time the game called "Ninja". It is quite the crazy game but I must say, it uses strategy and your brain. =) I had the most wonderful time hanging out with friends and making new ones at the same time. I truly thank my brothers and friends for a marvelous evening.

P.s. They had a photo booth, so we each got our pictures taken with the person we brought. =)
